You can do this simply using a gentle shampoo, or a baby shampoo. Some of us may already have this in the house, if not, you can easily buy big bottles of baby shampoo for really cheap at most stores. Other household items that can be used for cleaning are vinegar and tea tree oil.
Now on to how to clean makeup brushes! The first thing that you should do is rinse your brushes under lukewarm water until the water runs clear.
Now fill up a bowl with lukewarm water and put a bit of the shampoo inside to create a soapy solution. Gently swirl your brush tips around in the solution and then swirl the brushes on your hand to work a lather into them, and get out any extra makeup.
After this, rinse your brushes again like you did at first. Continue repeating these steps until you feel that your brushes are completely clean. When you have gotten them as clean as they will go, use a clothe or towel to wipe your brushes. You should also reshape your brushes as close as you can to how they were so that you aren’t left with bristles going in all directions!
